Information

The grading format presented is the generally accepted standard used in the USA. It is by no means all inclusive and does not address anomolies which can mask a grade. The purpose of this information is for the edification of the hobbyist and to use as a guideline.

Terminology may be different and grading criteria may vary slightly from one country to another. Therefore, we strongly recommend examining our photos.  It is usually the actual item represented.

Although grading is highly technical in nature,in the end it  remains the opinion of the grader. To date no instrument exists that can differentiate all the variables that can affect grade.  Thus, it takes a good pair of eyes, lots of practice, and a forthright seller.
